“What do courts think about search engines and their functioning on the Internet?” — Tatiana Tereshchenko for the blog Zakon.ru

Despite the fact that there are not so many practices on a particular issue, the approach is quite formed. The search engine looks like this:

a) "caching" (creating a cast), that is, bypassing and temporary copying with a certain periodicity of a large number of sites with the creation of an archive of pages with publicly available information

b) to create a search index: from the copied pages as a result of the analysis selected key and meaningful search words. This process is automated and carried out regularly. In the end, the search index, along with information about the document type, encoding, language, and si, etc. form a search base, using which

c) the search results, that is, the search server response to the user's request in the form of links to sites containing relevant information. Familiarity with the information and access to it is carried out directly on a particular site (for example, where the user has allowed the indexing of information about yourself).
