In December last year, many experts predicted that the ruble exchange rate, despite the imposition of an embargo on oil supplies from Russia, would remain stable until the New Year. Nevertheless, before the holidays, the value of the Russian currency went down sharply, breaking through the mark of 70 rubles per dollar and 75 rubles per euro. However, its new strengthening began just before the holidays and continued after the country came out of the long weekend. But how long will it last? Why didn't the past predictions come true? And how much will a dollar be worth by the end of winter? Konstantin Ziyatdinov, Head of the International Projects Department of Prime Advice, answers questions.
