According to the head of the analytical department of Prime Advice Tatyana Tereshchenko, voice and face are traditionally considered types of intangible benefits, since they individualize the personality:

Recently, it has often been pointed out that both the voice and the face are part of an image, a collective image of a person that can be commercialized. There is no definition of intangible benefits in the legislation, while Chapter 8 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation is devoted to their protection. There is no special article that would explicitly indicate the protection of a person or voice. However, the general article 150 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation contains a basic provision that any intangible benefits, including those not directly named in the law, are subject to protection by all means provided for by law, depending on the nature of the benefit and the nature of the violation. However, the doctrine has long pointed out the shortcomings of this approach and noted that it is correct to speak in general about the full protection of any intangible benefits, given their constitutional value.
