When you take on an artist as a gallerist, you're responsible for them. And if you abandon them after a year, artists — often sensitive souls — take it very hard. We fight for our artists, as they say, we'd give our heads for them. We stand up for them like a wall and will prove their importance no matter the circumstances.
To mark the twentieth anniversary of pop/off/art, Denis Khimiline, Senior Partner at Prime Advice Consulting Group and art collector, met with the gallery's founders, Olga and Sergey Popov. They discussed the exhibition "Gusts and Whispers," life in the contemporary art world, the competition for artists, and which works best reflect the year 2025.
